“Junior,” as soon as Luo Ziling saw Yang Qingyin, she quickly ran up to him, ignoring the sidelong glances of those around her. She grabbed his arm urgently and asked, “What happened?”

Seeing Yang Qingyin appear in front of him left Luo Ziling utterly incredulous, and he stood there, frozen.

He had thought someone might come to rescue him before he entered the police station.

He had guessed that Ling Ruonan was the most likely to save him, followed perhaps by the Ouyang sisters or Ouyang Lingyun. But he had never considered Yang Qingyin.

Seeing Yang Qingyin suddenly in front of him, Luo Ziling was caught completely off guard.

“I’m fine,” after being stupified for a few seconds, Luo Ziling finally collected himself and asked, “How come you’re here?”

“I saw the message you posted on your Moments. I tried calling you, but no one answered. I was worried something dangerous had happened to you, so I came,” after noticing the odd looks they were receiving from the people around them, Yang Qingyin blushed and extricated herself from Luo Ziling’s hand. Then she turned to the cool-looking woman standing on the side and said, “You take care of the things here, I’ll take him away first.”

“Understood!” The woman, who bore a marked resemblance to Lin Lan in her cool demeanor, nodded slightly and immediately walked out.

When Luo Ziling was at the inquiry room, an Audi A6 sped into the entrance of the police station and stopped directly in front of the building.

After the car stopped, the driver’s door opened, and a person dashed out with great haste.

That person didn’t even lock the car and ran straight for the entrance of the inquiry room.

The inquiry room was on the second floor, and the person took three steps at a time racing up the stairs, nearly colliding with Yang Qingyin and Luo Ziling who were about to head downstairs.

“Director Li,” a cold voice emanated from beside Luo Ziling. It was from the mouth of the cool woman who had come with Yang Qingyin. She stepped forward, shielding Yang Qingyin, and said icily, “We will take him with us now. You can handle the matters here!”

“Yes, yes,” the middle-aged man who was covered in sweat quickly nodded and hurried to apologize to Yang Qingyin, “I’m so sorry, Miss Yang, for causing you trouble. I will personally look into this matter, and if any officers under my command have abused their position or committed a crime, they will be severely punished.”

The middle-aged man was Director Li Qingyang of the Huding Police Station.

Just before, he had been enjoying tea with friends, when he got calls from several influential people.

After taking the calls, a terrified Director Li Qingyang could only race to the scene.

Fortunately, the situation hadn’t escalated beyond control—if it had, the trouble would have been far greater.

He was already aware of who had come to pick up Luo Ziling, so even without recognizing the person in charge, he treated her with much respect.

“Miss, let’s go,” the cool woman beside Yang Qingyin said softly.

“I’ll take him out the side door. You handle all the affairs here,” Yang Qingyin said, decisively making a decision unlike her usual gentle and vulnerable demeanor. She promptly pulled Luo Ziling’s hand and they started to descend the stairs.

After going downstairs, they didn’t enter the main yard but walked through a corridor to the other side and got into an Audi A4 parked there.

The woman who had accompanied Yang Qingyin also immediately ran downstairs after hearing the instructions.

As the Audi A4 started, several other cars drove into the police station courtyard. Luo Ziling, with his sharp eyes, immediately recognized that it was Ouyang Feifei’s motorcade. Ouyang Feifei’s Rolls-Royce was too eye-catching to forget after even a single glance.

Ouyang Feifei actually rushed to the police station herself, which was a bit of a surprise and also touched Luo Ziling slightly.

“That’s Ouyang Feifei’s motorcade,” Yang Qingyin recognized it too, smiling at Luo Ziling, “It seems your trouble has alarmed quite a few people.”

“My grandfather and Ouyang Lingyun were old friends, and Sir Ouyang, as well as Ouyang Feifei’s lives, were saved by my grandfather,” Luo Ziling explained.

“Since they’ve come, it doesn’t seem quite right to leave like this, does it?” Yang Qingyin smiled at Luo Ziling and then instructed the driver, “Stop for a moment!”

The car had just started moving when it stopped immediately upon Yang Qingyin’s command.

“Why don’t I leave first, and you stay behind? Let Ouyang Feifei handle this,” Yang Qingyin said playfully to Luo Ziling. “With all the fuss today, but with her stepping in, things will be resolved in no time.”

“I’ll go with you!”

“It’s even better if I don’t make an appearance,” Yang Qingyin took Luo Ziling’s hand gently and said softly, “You understand what I mean, right?”

Luo Ziling thought earnestly for a moment before finally nodding, “I understand!”

Yang Qingyin beamed a bright smile.

After tightly squeezing her hand in return, Luo Ziling pushed open the car door and got out.
