“We’ll discuss this later,” Li Xi said, his thoughts in disarray. He pursed his lips, contemplating for a moment before turning to Dan Zuo with some embarrassment. “Did you pinpoint the exact location?”

Dan Zuo, who had been working furiously on his portable computer, didn’t answer immediately.

After a few more seconds, he adjusted his glasses and exhaled. “Got it.”

“Where is it?” Li Xi’s eyes lit up.

Dan Zuo displayed the coordinates on his screen and handed it to Li Xi.

“I’ll go extract it now,” Li Xi declared.

“I’ll come with you…” Duan Zhen began, but a sudden laugh interrupted him.

“Didn’t expect you to actually find it,” Clemens emerged from the darkness.

With smooth, golden hair cascading over his shoulders and a gentle smile, Clemens looked harmless. But everyone present knew his true nature and instantly became wary.

“No need to be so tense,” Clemens smiled. “I heard you were looking for the main system’s location, so I came to take a look.”

“And after you’ve seen it?” Li Xi asked coldly.

“Of course, I’m here to help you,” Clemens’ lips curved up slightly. “I imagine you know the main system’s capabilities.”

“That’s exactly why I can’t let you stay,” Li Xi retorted with a fake smile.

“That’s quite hurtful,” Clemens’ expression turned slightly sad, his red eyes reflecting a hint of sorrow. “We’ve known each other so long, and yet you don’t trust me, little Phil.”

“Stop saying misleading things,” Li Xi crossed his arms, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. “My boyfriend is right here. Besides, knowing you for this long is precisely why I don’t trust you.”

Clemens shrugged, unfazed. “I understand you have many misunderstandings about me.”

Duan Zhen walked over, wrapping an arm around Li Xi’s shoulders, his tone icy. “You know whether it’s a misunderstanding or not.”

“My conversation with Phil doesn’t concern you,” Clemens glanced at Duan Zhen dismissively.

“That’s jealousy,” Xia Qirong muttered under his breath.

Everyone heard it clearly. Clemens squinted slightly, about to speak, but Li Xi cut him off.

“Our matters are none of your business,” Li Xi said impatiently. “Leave now, or don’t blame me for being rude.”

“If you insist…” Clemens sighed and vanished instantly.

“Is he gone?” Dan Zuo asked.

Ever since Clemens had appeared, Dan Zuo had swiftly closed his laptop, unsure if Clemens had seen the coordinates.

“He’s gone,” Li Xi confirmed after scanning the area thoroughly. He pursed his lips in frustration. “I didn’t expect him to be hiding there. Who knows how much he heard.”

“Probably everything,” Dan Zuo frequently adjusted his glasses. “But it’s unclear if he saw the coordinates.”

Li Xi pondered for a moment, then scanned the area again. “Could Hest and Moduna only have pretended to leave too? If Clemens found us, they might be working together.”

“If they’re all trying to stop you from destroying the main system, it will be very dangerous,” Duan Zhen placed a hand on Li Xi’s shoulder, his tone serious. “I must go with you.”

Though he only held Li Xi’s shoulder, Li Xi felt as if his fate was being held. He couldn’t help but shrink back. “If you come along, it won’t help. When it comes to a fight, you won’t be able to…”

He had intended to say “you won’t be able to win,” but looking at Duan Zhen, he swallowed his words and rephrased it, “It will still be three against two. We’re one person short.”

“We can call Hewlett,” Duan Zhen suggested.

“Hewlett…” Li Xi considered. “Will he agree?”

“He will,” Duan Zhen nodded. “I’ll talk to him.”

Li Xi’s large eyes were filled with question marks.

“He gave me a way to contact him during training,” Duan Zhen explained nonchalantly.

Li Xi’s confusion deepened. “He gave you his contact information? Why? Is he trying to steal you from me?”

His curls bristled with anger. “I didn’t think he was that kind of person!”

Duan Zhen calmly reached out and ruffled the fluffy curls. “It’s not what you think.”

Li Xi fumed. “He has ulterior motives.”

A demon lord befriending a human was suspicious… Li Xi himself was initially attracted to Duan Zhen’s body.

Thinking about this, Li Xi couldn’t help but glance at Duan Zhen. Dressed in dark combat gear, his belt tightened around his waist, accentuating his strong build. His long legs and casual yet military posture made him look formidable.

Li Xi’s throat bobbed, and he licked his lips discreetly.

No, he had to stay focused on the task at hand.

“Then contact Hewlett,” Li Xi said. “If he makes any unreasonable demands, forget it. We need to get to the main system quickly to prevent any interference.”

If Clemens had seen the coordinates, they would likely set an ambush, making a tough battle inevitable.

Duan Zhen nodded and took out a small glass sphere, about the size of a thumb, and placed it in his palm.

The sphere emitted a faint golden glow.

“This thing… It’s quite valuable… Is he really trying to steal you from me?” Li Xi grumbled.

It was a mind transmission sphere, allowing direct communication through thoughts. They watched Duan Zhen stand for a moment before the sphere’s light dimmed.

“He agreed,” Duan Zhen frowned. “But he has a condition.”

“What is it?” Li Xi asked.

“He wants the main system,” Duan Zhen glanced at Dan Zuo. “And he wants Dan Zuo to modify its program.”

Li Xi paused, realizing Hewlett’s intent. “He wants the system to manage his world?”

That would suit Hewlett’s lazy nature, as a pre-programmed system wouldn’t betray him, it would make for a reliable world manager.

“Giving it to him is not out of the question,” Li Xi considered and then asked Dan Zuo, “Can you modify the system’s program?”

“I can try,” Dan Zuo replied.

“Alright, let’s go,” Li Xi nodded, decisively grabbing Duan Zhen and Dan Zuo. He turned to Xia Qirong and Sun Le. “After we leave, you’ll be automatically transported back to the rest area.”

His gaze swept over Shen Su, darkening slightly, but he said nothing more.

No matter whose subordinate Shen Su was, it probably didn’t matter now.

Their figures flickered and disappeared before the others’ eyes.

Kekeke, they take turn getting jealous lol~

Also Hewlett… yeah, he’s def one of my fave chars lmao how lazy you gotta be to go to such lengths just to be able to sleep x)

Thank you for reading
