Chapter 499

Mu Mingtang was really happy with that response. Xie Xuanchen’s injury improved much faster than she expected. Mu Mingtang tied the gauze and said, “Although it has improved, we still can’t relax. You should pay more attention to it these days and don’t overwork yourself.”

Mu Mingtang sat in front of him and bandaged him up. Xie Xuanchen put his arm around her and held her in his arms. She felt that he was not behaving well and immediately turned around to grab his hand, saying righteously, “You’re still recovering from your injuries. You barely even have the time to rest, so don’t think about those stupid unnecessary things.”

Xie Xuanchen raised his eyebrows as he held hand in front of him and unfolded her fingers one by one,”I sent you to Zhongshan on March 18th. Later, I brought our men to return to the capital to provide them aid, but I got p.i.s.sed at them halfway. I arrived and returned to Zhongshan on the 25th. Immediately after that, I led the troops to capture Ye Luji and then lived at Xu Residence for a few days where you insisted on letting me recuperate. Today is already the 2nd day of April. Try to count it yourself— how many days has it been?”

Usually, Xie Xuanchen would only be able to unfold one or two of her fingers, but now, not even both of her hands were enough for him. She looked at her palms that were completely spread out as her tone became lower and softer, “But you are still injured.”

After going round and round in circles, Xie Xuanchen wanted nothing more than to feel what it was like to pick up a large rock and drop it on his foot. He decided to risk his life today and held Mu Mingtang tightly, not intending to let her go, “I’m not. Think about it, does it make sense?”

Mu Mingtang tried to persuade him,”You hurt your arm, so you can’t use force in the first place, but consummation will involve your shoulders no matter what. So, you have to just bear with this.” 

Xie Xuanchen hesitated to speak before he finally said cryptically, “Actually, it’s not as serious as it seems. A small effort like this will not affect it.”

“How can it not be affected?” Mu Mingtang was helpless. She didn’t dare to have Xie Xuanchen take risks, but now he was unwilling to give up and Mu Mingtang was also caught in a dilemma. Finally, she thought about it and couldn’t help but blush.

Xie Xuanchen saw her expression and touched her face. He asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Or…” Mu Mingtang’s face turned red as she stumbled over her words, “I can be on top?”

In the end, Xie Xuanchen couldn’t help it anymore. He held Mu Mingtang’s waist and said in a very restrained voice, “I think it’s better for me to do it.”

“No,” Mu Mingtang was so tired that she had to rest for a long time after moving a few times. At this moment, her temples were wet with sweat and she was panting, but she still insisted, “Your arm is injured, you can’t overexert yourself.”

“All you’re doing is torturing me,” Xie Xuanchen placed his hand on Mu Mingtang’s lower back and suddenly used some force to reverse their positions. Mu Mingtang was caught off guard when she realised she was turned upside down and pinned to the bed. She looked at Xie Xuanchen’s hand that was supporting her side, which was strong and firm, as he showed no signs of pain.
