Chapter 139 Team Errors

The rays from the sun shone brightly into the room and just a few seconds after the rays got to his face, Dave slowly opened his eyes.

He turned his gaze to Emma who had her arms wrapped around him, he could feel the tingling feeling of her breathing against his neck as she was still fast asleep.

‘Good morning, Catherine.’

<I’m guessing you’re not going to do any of your morning exercises today>

‘Uh…maybe.’

He turned his gaze to the ceiling before turning it back to Emma who was still sleeping peacefully in his arms.

It didn’t take long before she made a little movement and slowly opened her eyes.

“Dave.” She said, blinking her eyes a couple of times. “Good morning.” She said with a bright smile on her face.

“Good morning,” Dave said. “Hope you slept well?”

“I did, you?”

“I’ll always sleep well with you by my side.” He said before kissing her. “Season’s over which means no training today and that means we can finally sleep in today.”

“Are you sure you’re not forgetting something?” She asked.

“No, I don’t think so.” He said, shaking his head.

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“You dumb head, you have to be at Lospeno today with Clark!” She said before giving him a heavy smack on the head.

“Awww.” He winced before quickly pressing his hand against the area of impact.

“He said you were supposed to be there before noon so, get up.” She said before quickly pulling him up from the bed.

“Hey, what’s with the aggressiveness today?” Dave said with a shocked expression on his face.

‘How come you didn’t remind me about the meeting today, Catherine?’

<No, you deserve this>

“You can’t go about forgetting important things like this,” Emma said before slowly stepping down from the bed while Dave was still sitting on the bed with a confused expression on his face. “And besides I have to go to work today so there’s no time to sleep in.”

“Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.” The goalkeeper said, scratching the back of his bed.

Emma let out a sigh before turning her gaze to him.

“You know you’re not supposed to be sitting there, come on you have to get to Lospeno before noon.” She said before grabbing him by his shirt and pulling him down from the bed.

“What did I do to deserve this morning?” He muttered with his face flat on the floor.

“Okay, fine, I’ll go get ready.” The goalkeeper said before getting up from the floor.

“Good, I’ll have everything you’ll need ready before you’re done.” She said, walking toward the door. “But first, I have to call a certain group of people and tell them about what happened last night.” She added with a little giggle before leaving the room.

“I guess I won’t be doing any morning exercise today,” Dave muttered after she left the room.

<That’s not a problem>

Emma also had to leave for work early so she had to do everything she had to quickly.

Dave was surprised when he finished brushing his teeth in the bathroom and saw her standing there with her towel tied around her body.

“What the heck have you been doing all this time, you’re still brushing your teeth?” She said with a furious look on her face.

“Wait, you’re done?” Dave said with a stunned look on her face.

“Of course, I’m done. What do you think I went downstairs to do, play?” She said, walking closer to him.

She stared at him with a furious expression on her face but it didn’t take long before the expression died down and she let out a deep sigh.

“You have a lot of time left anyway, let’s just share the bath.” She said,

“Okay, that will be nice,” Dave said with a smile on his face.

After getting ready together, the two made their way downstairs.

Emma was putting on a pink dress with little black nets to make up for the short sleeves while Dave was putting on a casual red shirt with black jeans and black sneakers.

After having their breakfast, the two made their way outside and now it was time for them to say goodbye and head out.

“I’ll see you in the next ten or twelve hours depending on how work is going to be today.” She said before leaning closer to kiss him.

After that, she turned and began to make her way out of the area.

“I’ll miss you!” She said before she disappeared from the area.

“I’ll miss you too,” Dave muttered.

It didn’t take long before the goalkeeper got to the airport and now he was on his way to Lospeno.

He was sitting on his phone going through everything yesterday’s last fixtures had created.

‘Supreme United, champions of Bilbeth once again.’ He subconsciously read the title of an article that had a picture of Supreme United lifting the trophy with their black jersey which had red stripes.

‘Do you think Unique FC can be among the title contenders next season?’

‘Article.’

‘But I would still like to hear your opinion on it.’

‘Honest opinion.’ Dave replied.

<Okay, you asked for it, Unique FC cannot be among the title contenders if you guys are going to continue playing the way you have been doing although I’m pretty sure you will do better than you did this season next season but you can’t be among the title contenders. The team attack looks slow and you guys seem to lack attacking options all the time, Mateo is the only one who tries to speed up the attack with his dribbling and speed, no deadly that can cause havoc to teams although I think Fredinho is still young and will come around, Merino is good but he needs to work more on his finishing and now let’s move to midfield.

‘Yeah, he hits the crossbar a lot.’

‘Is that all?’

‘Oh, yeah.’
